Want to know what books are coming out tomorrow (October 5, 2015)? Well than read on, if you don’t want to know…what is wrong with you?
Here is a quick list of what is new and hot out. If anything I say go and buy them and read them all. I know that is my plan.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R.R. Martin: Let me just say what everyone is thinking…what is this doing here and why isn’t the next installment of A Song Of Fire and Ice Series out yet? A very valid question. This is the first three official prequel novellas to the series. I am sure they are good and I will be reading them at some point, but I think all of us fans of this series just want the next book out. Enough with the side projects George!
Shadows of Self by Brandon Sanderson: This is the second in a spinoff of his original series Mistborn. This is actually considered to be one of the most anticipated books of 2015. Shadows of Self shows Mistborn’s society evolving as technology and magic mix, the economy grows, democracy contends with corruption, and religion becomes a growing cultural force, with four faiths competing for converts. Throw in some terrorism and you got yourself one good story. For the fantasy lover, this one is defiantly for you.
The Searcher by Simon Toyne: This is one of my most anticipated books that I am so excited to read. This is a book that has good and evil, retribution and redemption and such a great plot line. This is the first in what is going to be a very popular series, if you like to jump on the bandwagon early. It centers on a man with no memory of his past must save a lost soul in a small Arizona town. I know right!? Make sure this is on your list to pick up.
TEEN AND CHILDREN BOOKS
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone Illustrated by J.K. Rowling: So really….everyone know this book is coming out and if you are a fan you will be lining up at midnight tonight to wait for stores to open early to buy it. You will be waiting till opening but it’s the effort that counts. This is such a beautiful written book. You can see preview for the pictures on Buzz Feed. They are well done and if it’s even possible you feel like you are more in the book than ever. Despite the price tag, this will defiantly be a book going in my collection.
The Rest Of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness: This is going to be a gem of a book. Patrick Ness is already such a great author and I am so excited to read this book. What if you aren’t the Chosen One? The one who’s supposed to fight the zombies, or the soul-eating ghosts, or whatever the heck this new thing is, with the blue lights and the death? What if you’re like Mikey? Who just wants to graduate and go to prom and maybe finally work up the courage to ask Henna out before someone goes and blows up the high school…again. The whole book is from the point of the view of the rest of the people who live in these worlds we read about all the time. I laugh just reading the description and can’t wait to get my hands on my own copy.
Following the darker teen books there is this one coming out from this acclaimed author. This would be considered a gothic, historical thriller. I know right! You have this teen girl going to an insane asylum, plagued with different issues. She finds a new lease on life and starts to help a fellow doctor. She assists in crime scene investigation with him and eventually this leads in to a circle of a killer. As you can imagine it’s going to be one hell of a ride. I don’t feel there is enough hype for this book. It sounds amazing and teen book lovers will eat this one up.
Happy by Pharrell Williams: Everyone knows this song and if you are not singing it in your head right now than you need to YouTube it and watch the video. There is now a book. It is a collection of photographs of children around the world celebration what it means to be happy. I don’t believe I need to say any more about this. It’s going to be AMAZING and HAPPY, so clap along.
So that is just a brief summery of what is new and hot out on Oct 6th. It’s gearing up to Christmas so there are massive amounts of books coming out that everyone should be excited for. If you can’t wait till Christmas go and get one for yourself. What are you looking forward to?
