Review: Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon

Everything Everything

Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon

Teen Novel

Rated: 3/5

This is a story about a girl who is allergic to the world. She is essentially a “bubble girl” who has to stay in her vacuum sealed house all the time. Step one foot outside and she will die from her allergies. Then a boy moves in next door and suddenly the world seems very small from her room

This is a cute teen book about first love and being who you really are. It’s also about family and what you would do to protect the people in your family. There are some really great underlying themes for this book.

I recommend it for any teen girl looking for a new read or if you’re a parent and are looking for a book for your older child this would be a good one. It is innocent romance, easy to read stories and bonus..there is some pictures in it as well. These are drawn by the authors husband.

My only concern with this book is that the end feels too rushed. You get to a certain point where you know what is going to happen and that is about it. It doesn’t really pan out. It’s a short read but a few more chapters would have been great just to develop the ending would have been great.
